For 30 years, in Limobel Inwo we have been building some solid sustainability principles to carry out in all our products and production processes. from our R&D department We improve production strategies thanks to the state-of-the-art technology that we apply in our processes, from design to final product delivery. This commitment has led us to obtain the prestigious LEED certification (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design), a certification system for sustainable buildings, developed by the US Green Building Council and applied in many countries around the world.

We share the principles of LEED, which allows our products to have obtained 3 LEED points of the 6 existing standards. This implies that, in the buildings where our furniture is installed, an environmental improvement of the space is obtained, which in turn entails a positive score in said buildings.

What does LEED certification imply?

La LEED certification represents a way of understanding life and work: a philosophy that contributes to increasing productivity, creating a healthy and friendly environment for workers. Also, the environmental impact it is minimized, since it implies the reduction of the use of energy, up to 25%; the decrease in CO2 emissions by 33%; saving up to 50% of water; and the reduction of waste during the entire production process by up to 25%.
The benefits of all these joint actions are evident: the user performance increases by 20%, as well as productivity and the overall increase in production.

 PEFC and FSC certified

So much PEFC (Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification), as  and FSC (Forest Stewardship Council), are non-governmental international organizations that certify a forest management in a sustainable way. Although they have common objectives, PEFC promotes the chain of custody from the private sector and FSC, from NGOs such as Greepeace and WWF. In any case, its stamps certify good practice in the supply chains of a product of forest origin, from the forest to the factory and all the way to the consumer.

Suppliers of wood and paper products Limobel Inwo have said certifications, which ensures that the materials that we use have been extracted in accordance with the most stringent environmental, social and economic requirements. The best way to conserve our forests is to use their resources sustainably. 

ISO quality certificates

In a parallel but not exclusive way, our products have ISO quality certificates (International Organization for Standardization) in Environmental Management Systems, Eco-design of products, Environmental Product Declaration, eco-labels and Quality Management System (ISO 9001 – ISO 14001 ISO 14006 – ISO 14025). 
ISO certificates are documents that certify that a certain company complies to the letter with the ISO standard. In this way, it is demonstrated that the standards required by this legislation have been adequately implemented. It is an important aspect that, when applied, the company obtains a great differentiation with respect to the competition. This type of certificate shows that the company really is competent and reliable so that it will attract the trust of both customers and other audiences: suppliers, investors, etc. Furthermore, being in possession of ISO certificates It gives companies the ability to carry out more ambitious and competitive strategies. Obtaining these quality seals has been an arduous daily task over the years, in order to improve the production processes of our products.

Production and eco-design

Our products have been designed to be manufactured with a 60% recycled materials which, in some products, reach 100%. In the case of the steel and wood that we use in our furniture, the 100% recyclable material.
As for the products, we use powder paint, glue and upholstery no VOC emissions and we limit the use of hazardous substances, such as chlorine, mercury or cadmium.
A percentage is used in the manufacture of melamine under formaldehyde (less than 0.008% of the board). 
Each product line has its own Environmental Declaration where the materials and the production process are detailed.

Service life of Limobel Inwo products

Another characteristic of our furniture is that they have a Long useful life, since in our product philosophy we are not in favor of obsolescence. Our furniture is easy to maintain and, in case of breakage, there is the possibility of repairing or replacing the piece.

disposal and recycling

All our furniture allows a quick and easy separation of its components, the majority recyclable. In addition, as they are modular products, the packaging system used makes the most of space. we use 100% recycled and recyclable cardboard and water-based printing inks without solvents, which substantially reduces the generation of polluting waste.

Bus Routes

Packaging is done in volumes, which maximizes space and reduces energy and fuel consumption. The optimization of packaging contributes to reducing the carbon footprint of transport.

Our commitment to sustainability spans the entire Product life cycle, from the extraction of the raw material to the end of the useful life of the product. A 360º sustainability strategy that we continue to improve day by day, thanks to new technologies.
