INWO – Inspiring Workplace

The evolution of the workspace: adapting to new ways of working.

Our way of working in the office and the use we give to the workspace have changed significantly in recent times. With the creation of our creative department INWO, we want to give concrete answers towards the new ways of working.

NEW WAYS OF WORKING

At the beginning of the year 2.000, the collaborative and meeting areas occupied 20% of the space. Today, they exceed 70% of the space. The areas of interaction are the spaces that are most in demand and their role is increasing.

The new office must respond to the new way of working and must meet, among others, the following attributes: flexibility, technology and collaborative spaces. These are the three premises, starting point, in the new work spaces.

TECHNOLOGY, VERSATILITY AND TELEWORKING

Technology is another of the great challenges of new offices, as it promotes mobility and promotes virtual work, teleworking and collaboration between different geographically dispersed teams.

A good approximation for the design of the offices is non-territoriality, that is, the positions are shared and not assigned to a specific person. But multipurpose spaces are also very necessary, easily reconfigurable for different uses and number of people.

SUSTAINABILITY AND WELL-BEING

Sustainability when manufacturing furniture is another strong demand of the new generations: comprehensive energy and environmental management, CO2 reduction policies or carbon footprint measurement, recycling policies, etc.

A generation looking for a design that makes them feel “at home”. Spaces aligned with the new corporate policies for the well-being of people aimed at retaining talent.

INWO – INSPIRING WORKPLACE

At LIMOBEL we believe that we must start speaking this new language. That is why we have created a new creative department that we have called INWO, an acronym for “Inspiring Workplace”, where we want to evolve towards new ways of working. Investigating, developing and implementing our new vision always with the objective of the well-being of people in their work environments.
