During the year 2019, the reform of the Westwing online decoration store offices in Barcelona, ​​in charge of Escobedo Studio. He also took part in it Limobel Inwo contributing all the technical furniture for workplaces.

Office layout

organized in three floors of 490 m2 each, the project aimed to create open and bright spaces, where the furniture It will provide versatility and design. Neutral colors and natural materials are combined with the designer furniture and plant elements, creating a pleasant work space.

At receiver, soft tones –white, sand and grey– of the furniture and wood are combined with plant elements and the turquoise touch of the wall, the corporate color of Westwing. The concept of simplicity and efficiency of the space is perfectly fulfilled in this office, where the decoration and styling They have a very relevant role as prescribers of the sector.

Open spaces

The space was left totally diaphanous, delimited by the columns that serve to differentiate the different zones. On one hand, the workspace and, on the other, the social zone, which includes a meeting room, games room, kitchen, dining room and terrace. He furniture of the social zone is from Westwing since, as online decoration platform, They have thousands of references available to their members. Hence the success of this German company, founded in 2011 and which landed in Spain in 2012, with an innovative concept of deco shopping club where you not only seek to acquire the furniture or accessory, but decorative inspiration. Currently, they work in 11 countries and have more than a million subscribers.

Work zone

La Westwing's formula He is very particular in terms of work activity. They have a dish to take photos of their thousands of articles, as well as a warehouse where they organize all the material that they publish weekly. One of the plants is dedicated to the work of e-commerce, in which dozens of people work in front of their computers to catalogue, inventory, retouch, describe and upload the articles one by one, in addition to the editorial work of the inspiration magazine. For this reason they needed specific work furniture and resorted to Limobel Inwo.

Workstations with the M4 and NHB series

For the social and leisure area they were clear that they were going to have the furniture of the firm itself. However, for the workspace They needed technical and professional furniture to ensure that each workstation met the optimal conditions of ergonomics, body health and resistance.

Following the aesthetic guidelines set by the Escobedo Studio, multiple jobs were chosen from Limobel Inwo with the M4 table 1600 x 1640 mm, with a metal structure painted white and an oak finish top. The bullion tables They have a groove for cable gland cover and cable gland trays. In addition, to make the opposing posts independent, M19 standoffs finished in white melamine and mobile drawers NHB, with three drawers, also in white melamine.

Divider cabinets

Although they strengthened open spaces, It was necessary, however, to separate the departments with different activities to ensure a certain independence and privacy between the areas. For this, they used the tall cabinets of the NHB series, with folding doors oak finish and white melamine structure, all matching the workstations. An excellent solution for delimiting work areas as it has a double function: the cabinets provide a wide storage area and, at the same time, they do not overwhelm the space by being combined with the rest of the furniture. Also, the tile floor of large-format silver-tone porcelain unifies the entire space and creates sense of continuity.

Playground

Being a young company, both in creation and in the age of its workers, it could not miss a leisure and relaxation area with large sofas and armchairs, a ping-pong or with a football, in the purest style of millennial offices, which we talked about a few weeks ago. The tones of the furniture follow the same chromatic pattern than the rest of the decoration: off-white and sand-colored or light wood.

dividing structure

Of great visual impact, this checkered metal structure, that goes from floor to ceiling, divides the work area from the social and recreational area. In it, different clay pots were placed with plant varieties that work very well inside and that add the touch biophilic to the decoration.

The kitchen-dining room 

The dining room and kitchen are part of the recreational and social area, where we opted for a Nordic style with natural pine wood tables and white and smoke green lacquered chairs. A fundamental social space for Westwing Workers, which is integrated into the offices as one more area.

And finally, the area that we aspire to have in all offices around the world: a splendid terrace, with views over Barcelona, ​​where Westwing employees disconnect and rest before returning to their chores. Of course, it can be said that at Westwing they think of everything and everyone. We love to participate in such avant-garde projects like this one, where the well-being of the entire team is sought, in a functional, aesthetic and healthy way.
